We’re interested in you and what it’s been like for you to discover, embrace, reject, and/or deepen your personal path as a meditator, Buddhist, Buddhist wannabe, yogi, or spiritual rebel. In other words, we’re not so much looking for explanations of your spiritual leanings as we are stories of how you interpret it and what happens when you try to live from a sense of deeper intention.
We’re looking for writing an art on any topic, as long as it relates to your experience as a dharma practitioner. In the past, we’ve asked contributors to write about sex and dating, work, social action, starting and deepening your meditation practice, being alone and being together, and experiencing loss — feel free to submit your work on these themes or anything else that interests you.
You can be as creative as you like. A traditional essay is fine, but you could also submit a poem, short story, or screenplay. If you have a YouTube or Vimeo account, feel free to send us the links to any videos you’ve created, which we may include with your written piece on our site. We’d also love to see your photos, artwork, or anything else you’ve created.
For more on what you can submit, click here.
